🩺 THIS WEEK’S REMOTE JOBS
💡 Career Tip of the Week: Read Between the Lines of a Job Description
Ever look at a remote nursing job and immediately count yourself out because you don't meet every qualification?
Here's your reminder: You don't necessarily need to meet 100% of the requirements to apply.
Try this when reviewing a job posting:
Required qualifications: Pay close attention to these. They may include an active RN license, specific state eligibility, or a minimum number of years of experience.
Preferred qualifications: These are often nice-to-haves, not automatic dealbreakers.
Core responsibilities: Do these align with skills you've already developed as a nurse?
👉 Your action step this week: If you meet the core requirements and most of the preferred qualifications, consider applying rather than rejecting yourself before the employer gets a chance to review your application.
Don't disqualify yourself before the hiring manager does!
🗺️ Want a nursing license in another state?
Many remote jobs only hire nurses licensed in certain states. Adding a license sounds like a huge task, but it's really not!
Since you're already licensed, most states let you apply "by endorsement": an online application, a fee, and a background check.
No NCLEX retake.

💡 Check first: If your home state is part of the Nurse Licensure Compact, you may already be able to practice in dozens of states. See the current map at nursecompact.com.
NPs: Your process has a few extra steps, since each state sets its own APRN requirements. Check the state board's APRN section before you apply.
